Pagani has unveiled its latest hypercar, the Huayra R Evo, a track-focused, long-tail version of the Huayra R. This new model is designed for the exclusive ‘Arte in Pista’ private time-attack style racing series, where only owners of Pagani’s high-performance models are allowed to participate.
The Huayra R Evo draws inspiration from IndyCar and classic Le Mans race cars, aiming to deliver uncompromising performance and extreme aerodynamics. The development of this hypercar took two years, with testing conducted at Arte in Pista events to ensure its track capabilities.
Under the hood, the Huayra R Evo is powered by a reworked version of the Huayra R’s naturally aspirated 6.0-litre V12 engine, producing 662kW at 8750rpm and a maximum torque of 770Nm between 5800 to 8200rpm. The engine enhancements, including new camshafts and intake manifolds, were developed in partnership with HWA AG, known for manufacturing Mercedes AMG’s race cars.
Paired with a six-speed sequential gearbox, the Huayra R Evo features a metallic racing clutch and carbon-ceramic braking system from Brembo, ensuring exceptional performance on the track. The suspension has also been fine-tuned with new hydraulic dampers to maintain ground clearance despite increased downforce.
The Pagani Huayra R Evo represents the pinnacle of track-focused hypercars, pushing the boundaries of performance and engineering to new heights.
