But that’s not all – there are also new Quests to prove your prowess as a pro racer.

Accelerate on Advanced Tracks

The v28.20 update brings two thrilling Advanced tracks for adrenaline-fueled racing:

  • Festive Falls 2: The festivities continue in this track, but don’t be fooled – it’s packed with hazards that will challenge racers all the way to the finish line. Brace yourself for ranked racing once you reach Platinum I!
  • Day Drifting 2: This sequel to Day Drifting features an unrelenting, winding road that will test your skills in driving sideways. Unlock this track once you reach Platinum I in ranked racing.

New Quests, New Drift Smoke Colors

Ready to smoke your rivals with new paint colors? Seven Ranked Challenges have been added to the Season Zero Tune Up Quests, tasking you to showcase your all-star status by completing a certain number of races at specific rank tiers. Each Challenge awards a new Drift Smoke Trail color upon completion. Take on the Challenges to add more colors to your collection before the quests end on March 26, 2024.

Major Improvements and Bug Fixes

Responding to player feedback, the Fortnite Team has made significant improvements and bug fixes in the v28.20 update:

  • Collisions have been adjusted to be less extreme, addressing both player-to-player and environment collisions.
  • Driving into a hazard no longer turns off throttle for the duration of the hazard effect. Instead, it applies a higher speed reduction penalty and imposes reduced acceleration to avoid interfering with drifts.
  • A new setting for icon-only nameplates has been added.
  • Issues with spectators being removed for idling and speed boosting or drafting have been fixed.
  • Image quality on the post-race screen has been improved.

With these updates and improvements, the racing experience in Fortnite is set to become even more thrilling. Keep an eye out for boosts that have arrived in the Fortnite ecosystem, and get ready to stand out on the racetrack!
