King Diagnosed with Cancer, Postpones Public Duties

The King has recently been diagnosed with cancer and has begun treatment following his treatment for an enlarged prostate. As a result, he has been advised to postpone public-facing duties to undergo a schedule of regular treatments. Buckingham Palace has not confirmed the type of cancer the King has been diagnosed with.

Earlier this year, the King was diagnosed with a benign condition, an enlarged prostate, and underwent surgery for it. The King’s decision to share this news was to encourage other men to prioritize their health and get themselves checked. This led to a significant increase in people seeking information about the condition affecting the King.

Aside from these recent health issues, the King has faced injuries from his sporting pursuits over the years. In 1980, he suffered injuries from a polo-related incident, which resulted in a two-inch crescent scar on his left cheek and a temporary loss of voice from being hit in the throat. Additionally, in 1988, he narrowly escaped an avalanche while skiing off-piste at Klosters, where his friend Major Hugh Lindsay tragically lost his life.
