The Boston University men’s ice hockey team secured a thrilling 4-3 victory over archrival and top-ranked Boston College in the 71st Dunkin’ Men’s Beanpot semifinals on Monday evening at TD Garden. The win propelled the third-ranked Terriers to the Beanpot final, marking an impressive performance for the team.
Freshman Macklin Celebrini emerged as a standout player, scoring the game’s first two goals. Senior Luke Tuch and sophomore Ryan Greene also contributed to the victory with their respective goals. Additionally, sophomore Quinn Hutson provided two assists, while freshman Gavin McCarthy and sophomore Lane Hutson each recorded one assist.
From the start, BU maintained control of the game and never trailed, ultimately building a 4-1 lead early in the third period. Although Boston College managed to narrow the gap, the Terriers’ strong performance secured their well-deserved win.
