News Tower is a new newspaper management simulation game set in 1930s New York, offering players the chance to build their media empire from the ground up. Developed by Sparrow Night, the game is set to launch in Early Access on February 13th, with a demo already available on Steam.
In News Tower, players will gradually expand and refine their newspaper operation within a single building, adding new rooms, equipment, and staff while also managing the happiness of their employees. The game comes to life with theme-specific details, as players send reporters across the country to cover events and piece together front pages from the clippings they produce.
The demo, originally scheduled to be removed on January 15th, is still available on Steam and offers players a taste of what to expect from the full release. Although progress from the demo will not carry over, the developer plans to keep the game in Early Access for about a year. The initial release will include a campaign that runs up until the year 1932, with updates for the years 1933-1939 coming post-launch.
News Tower is part of the upcoming Steam Next Fest, which will feature various new demos, including those for Final Factory, Tales Of Kenzera: Zau, Children Of The Sun, Abiotic Factor, Pepper Grinder, and Lightyear Frontier.
For fans of CRPGs (Classic Role-Playing Games), the game Baldur’s Gate 3 has been a popular choice. However, with the release of News Tower, players now have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a different genre and time period, experiencing the challenges and excitement of managing a newspaper during the 1930s.
