Popeyes is spreading the love this Valentine’s Day with a sweet and charitable offering. The fast-food chain has announced the release of limited-edition heart-shaped strawberry biscuits, available for a three-week period this month. These festive treats put a fruity twist on Popeyes’ classic buttery biscuits, incorporating strawberry bits and a drizzle of creamy icing.
For every heart-shaped biscuit purchased, Popeyes will donate $1 to the Popeyes Foundation’s Serving with Love initiative, which aids national and local nonprofits in providing food to those in need. The heart-shaped biscuits will be priced starting at $1.79 each and will be on sale from February 5 to February 25, while supplies last (prices may vary by location). In the event that the heart-shaped biscuits sell out at a particular restaurant, regular strawberry biscuits will also contribute to the fundraising campaign.
Popeyes previously introduced heart-shaped biscuits to commemorate National Buttermilk Biscuit Day in May 2019, and last spring, the brand launched its regular-shaped strawberry biscuits. This Valentine’s Day, the chain is once again embracing the spirit of love and generosity through this delightful offering.
Not to be outdone, Krispy Kreme has also joined the Valentine’s Day celebration with the introduction of the Dough-Notes collection. This collection features four new heart-shaped donuts, available from January 29 through Valentine’s Day. The offerings include the ‘You Color My World’ donut, filled with cake batter Kreme filling and adorned with red sprinkles, and the ‘You’re Berry Sweet’ donut, filled with classic white filling, dipped in strawberry icing, and coated in sugar. Additionally, the ‘I Love You A Choco-Lot’ donut is filled and iced with chocolate and has a rose piped on top, while the ‘Without You I’d Crumble’ donut contains cookie dough Kreme filling, chocolate icing, and chocolate chip cookie crumble.
Furthermore, White Castle has announced the return of its reservation-only Valentine’s Day Dinner, transforming its fast-food restaurant into a sit-down ‘fine-dining establishment’ on February 14. With these heartwarming offerings, fast-food chains are spreading the love and embracing the spirit of Valentine’s Day.
