Chansey Community Day Special Tier 4 Raid: Tips and Best Raid Counters

February 4th, 2023, 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. local time marks the special tier 4 raid at the end of Chansey Community Day, where Chansey can be shiny from raids. With a single resistance to Fighting type moves, trainers are advised to prepare their team wisely as Chansey has a raid boss CP of 8508 and can be caught with specific CP values. During this time, raids for Chansey can only be joined using Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes, with Remote Raid Passes being ineligible for participation.

Completing these special raids will cause Chansey to appear around the gym in higher numbers, with the same shiny rate as during Community Day hours. However, Chansey is impossible to solo due to its high HP stat. It is recommended to have 4-7 trainers in a party to effectively take down this raid boss, as it’ll be a close fight even with 2-3 trainers. Moreover, the use of Mega Pokémon is suggested, especially for those attempting to defeat Chansey with only two people.

For trainers gearing up to take on Chansey, the best raid counters according to the GO Hub battle simulator are Blaziken (Mega), Terrakion, Alakazam (Mega), Rayquaza (Mega), Keldeo (Ordinary), Keldeo, Lucario, Lopunny (Mega), Conkeldurr, and Groudon.
