Enshrouded: Abandoned Blue Goblet Tavern Offers New Base Opportunity for Players

If you’re looking for a new base in the game Enshrouded, there’s a three-story tavern with a 25 comfort buff that might just be the perfect fixer-upper for you. The tavern comes complete with a full bathroom, its own well, and enough room to glide inside. All it needs is a few repairs and some spider extermination.

For players who may not have the building skills to create their own base from scratch, Enshrouded offers various pre-existing structures in the world, such as crumbling farmhouses, abandoned cottages, and castle ruins. By claiming plots of land with flame altars, players can essentially take over these existing buildings, make necessary repairs, and transform them into their new base.

During his exploration of the Enshrouded world, the writer stumbled upon an abandoned inn known as the Blue Goblet Tavern and instantly fell in love with it. The three-story building offers ample space inside, surrounded by multiple trees with beehives, providing a local source for honey and wax. Additionally, there are resources like clay and copper in the surrounding cliffs, as well as space for farming on the plateau below. The tavern also features a grapple spot for easy access to the roof and has its own water well, eliminating the need to build one. With amenities like sinks, bathtubs, toilets, bookshelves, and plenty of lighting, the tavern boasts a comfort rating of 25, far surpassing the writer’s current base with a rating of 11.

However, like any venture into home ownership, there are a few downsides to consider. Upon attempting to claim the tavern with a flame altar, the writer encountered ‘enemies nearby,’ which turned out to be large rats in the basement and even larger spiders in the basement’s basement. After swiftly dealing with the pests, including discovering a treasure chest, the writer successfully claimed the tavern as their new base.
