Team of Advisors and Support Staff from RBC Capital Markets Joins Ameriprise Independent Channel
A team of advisors and support staff previously with RBC Capital Markets has joined the independent channel of Ameriprise. Pacific West Planning, led by private wealth advisor Ryan Sullivan, has made the move with more than $525 million in client assets. The team also includes private wealth advisor Kyle Blodgett, financial advisors Niles Gale and Landra Macy, and four support staff members.
Based in Kennewick, Washington, Pacific West has a strong focus on financial planning, which was key to the decision to make the move. Blodgett expressed that the firm’s autonomy and financial planning capabilities were attractive, allowing them to offer a more robust planning experience to their clients, inspiring confidence and providing clarity regarding their financial futures.
Sullivan highlighted the team’s growth mindset and the desire for flexibility and autonomy in running their practice and serving their clients as crucial factors in their decision. Additionally, they were drawn to Ameriprise’s client-first culture and the depth of resources to deliver a top-notch client experience.
The transition process and local support from Ameriprise franchise field vice president David Call and Ameriprise regional vice president Marcus Ranger have also left a positive impression on the team. Ameriprise has been successful in attracting approximately 1,700 advisors in the past five years and currently maintains a nationwide network of around 10,000.
This move reflects Ameriprise’s continued growth and appeal to financial advisors seeking greater autonomy and resources to enhance their client offerings. The addition of Pacific West Planning further strengthens Ameriprise’s independent channel, reinforcing its position as a leading destination for advisors looking to expand their financial planning capabilities and client service.
