A heavily-modified 2009 AM General Humvee military vehicle, equipped with six wheels and a supercharged V8 power, is set to go under the hammer at an upcoming auction. This unique vehicle, built by Danton Arts Kustoms and Frenchy Export LLC, deviates significantly from its original form as a military SUV.
Unlike the road-going Hummer H1, this genuine Humvee military vehicle has undergone substantial alterations, including the addition of six powered wheels, lowered suspension, large alloy wheels, and low-profile tires. The original 6.5-liter turbo diesel V8 engine has been replaced with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 sourced from Dodge Hellcat muscle cars. This high-performance engine, situated in the center of the vehicle ahead of the middle axle, delivers a staggering 535kW, surpassing the power output of the original diesel engine by a significant margin.
Additional customizations to the vehicle include a custom steel bumper to accommodate the lower ride height, a new metal diffuser at the rear, and a tall spoiler reportedly derived from aircraft components. The interior of the SUV has also undergone modifications, featuring a shortened cabin and lowered roof to accommodate two occupants, metal bucket seats, a digital instrument cluster, and a sports steering wheel. The vehicle is equipped with disc brakes at all six wheels, power steering, and a four-speed automatic transmission.
Enthusiasts interested in acquiring this distinctive Humvee will have the opportunity to bid for it at the upcoming Barrett-Jackson auction in the US. The vehicle is expected to share the spotlight with a Lamborghini Diablo previously owned by Donald Trump.
