Gymbox and Morley’s Collaboration: Exercise and Fried Chicken Unite

Exercise and fried chicken may seem like an unlikely pair, but a new collaboration between Gymbox and Morley’s is aiming to change that perception. The two establishments have joined forces to offer a unique incentive for fitness enthusiasts, combining the allure of free gym membership with the temptation of delicious chicken wings.

Between 24 January and 31 February, select boxes of Morley’s chicken will contain hidden Gymbox day passes, offering the chance to win a year’s membership to the popular gym. Additionally, on 1 February, Morley’s Brick Lane branch will host a special event where participants can compete for the coveted gym membership by cycling on an assault bike to the beats of a live DJ. Even those who don’t secure the grand prize will still walk away with a tasty reward – free wings for everyone who takes on the challenge.

Existing Gymbox members are not left out either, as they can claim their own free wings at Morleys by using the code ‘bossmangymbox101’.

According to Gymbox’s Rory McEntee, the collaboration is designed to promote a balanced lifestyle, emphasizing the importance of enjoying both indulgent treats and physical activity. The partnership aims to celebrate the harmony between enjoying fried chicken and maintaining a healthy exercise routine.

Established in 1985, Morley’s has gained a loyal following over the years, with notable fans including the likes of Stormzy. The chicken shop has been actively engaging in collaborations, such as last year’s partnership with The Standard hotel, which involved creating a special sauce with Heinz.

Gymbox, renowned for its innovative and entertaining fitness classes, is no stranger to unconventional approaches. The gym has previously organized unique workouts, including one that combined consuming increasingly spicy food with a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) session.

To take part in the Morley’s x Gymbox challenge, head to Morley’s Brick Lane on 1 February 2024 between 6-8pm. For more information, visit gymbox.com.
