Young & Restless’ Daniel is truly in a fix having gotten caught up in a moment with Heather that went too far. But we’ve some bad news for him: Things are going to get worse before they get better.

Daniel was pretty holier-than-thou throughout his mom Phyllis’s recent self-made struggles, but this week has left us pondering if Red’s self-righteous son really does have some of her genes after all. After all, Phyllis is all too well-known for her cheating scandals, which is exactly what Daniel’s landed himself in.

After a candid conversation that saw Heather explain she was still in love with him led to a rekindling of the flame in the bedroom, Daniel now has to contend with the reality of the situation — his spontaneous act has the power to hurt his girlfriend enormously.

Lily, of course, is on an extended absence from Genoa City supporting her daughter Mattie following the tragic death of someone close to her, aka, Christel Khalil’s maternity leave. But it’s only a matter of time before she returns and the now very complicated situation will have to be dealt with. At least, that’s what Daniel is thinking — that he has time to sort this out. Unfortunately, fate intends to speed things up.

Yup, someone is going to find out what Heather and Daniel got up to, and it spells p-a-n-i-c for the creator of the much-lauded Omegasphere gaming platform.

Per a preview from Young & Restless headwriter Josh Griffith in SOD, Daniel will find himself “backed into a corner” when “someone finds out about his night with Heather”.

Heather and Daniel have a conversation about their situation at Society (see below), and once the secret gets out, the teaser explains that Daniel will be “forced to defend himself”, and honestly, we can’t wait to hear this! Young & Restless spoilers hint that it’s Lily
