Tommy Richman Announces First World Tour Stop in Charlotte

Tommy Richman, the rising star in the alternative R&B/pop music scene, is set to kick off his first-ever world tour, with a highly anticipated stop in Charlotte, North Carolina. The concert will take place at The Underground on Friday, March 14, 2025. Richman has gained significant attention this year with his viral hits, “Million Dollar Baby” and “Devil is a Lie,” which have captivated audiences and showcased his unique sound.

Originating from Woodbridge, Virginia, Richman began his musical journey by independently releasing tracks on platforms like SoundCloud and Spotify back in 2016. His breakthrough came with the release of his EP, Paycheck, in 2022, which not only garnered critical acclaim but also led to a record deal with Brent Faiyaz’s ISO Supremacy label the following year. This partnership has propelled Richman into the spotlight, allowing him to join Faiyaz on his F*ck the World, It’s a Wasteland Tour and collaborate on the track “Upset” featured in Faiyaz’s Larger than Life mixtape.

Richman’s debut album, Coyote, was released on September 27, 2024, further solidifying his place in the music industry. Fans can look forward to an unforgettable performance as Richman will be joined by fellow Virginia rapper mynameisntjmack, who released his latest album, mynameisnt, in May 2024. The collaboration between these two artists promises to elevate the concert experience.

Tickets for the Charlotte show will be available through Live Nation and Ticketmaster, with a presale starting on Wednesday, November 13, at 10 a.m. using the code BEATS. General ticket sales will open to the public on November 15 at 10 a.m., making it essential for fans to act quickly to secure their spots for this exciting event.

Charlotte has been a vibrant hub for music and entertainment, with recent performances from various artists including Usher, who delivered a spectacular show featuring a mix of grand production and dazzling choreography. The city’s music scene continues to thrive with events that showcase both local talents and international stars.

In addition to Richman’s upcoming concert, Charlotte natives Seth Curry and Grant Williams are making headlines as they contribute to the Hornets’ new era, while Rhiannon Giddens, a Pulitzer Prize-winning musician from North Carolina, has announced a new festival called Biscuits & Banjos. The local music scene is further enriched by alternative hip-hop group Biking with Francis, who have released three impressive EPs to date.

Other notable upcoming events include performances by Mary J. Blige, who will be touring alongside Ne-Yo and Mario in 2025, and Tyler, the Creator, who is set to visit Charlotte and Raleigh following the release of his new album, Chromakopia. Jazz pianist Sean Mason, a prodigious talent nurtured by Charlotte’s music community, is also making waves with his performances.

For food enthusiasts, Charlotte offers a diverse culinary scene, with guides highlighting the best Vietnamese and Mediterranean restaurants in the city. The NoDa neighborhood is particularly known for its vibrant dining options, while local guides also provide insights into the best running and biking trails, catering to the active community.

As the music scene continues to flourish, Charlotte remains a key destination for artists and fans alike, with events that celebrate both new and established talents.
