Palworld Developer Warns Players of Bug Caused by ‘Memory Reset Drug’

Palworld developer Pocketpair has issued a warning to players regarding a bug caused by the in-game item ‘Memory Reset Drug’, which may lead to an irreversible reduction in capture power. The development team is currently investigating the issue and has advised players to refrain from using the item until the investigation is complete.

According to Pocketpair’s Kei, using the ‘Memory Reset Drug’ can result in a permanent reduction in the player’s capture power, making recovery impossible. The team has not provided a timeline for resolving the bug and has urged players to avoid using the item until further notice.

Despite the bug, Palworld continues to attract attention and has garnered significant sales numbers, breaking its own concurrent player records. However, some Pokémon fans have expressed concerns about the game’s similarities to Pokémon, citing instances of copyrighted images being altered through AI to circumvent copyright disputes.

As the game’s popularity grows, Palworld recently surpassed 700,000 concurrent players, prompting an emergency meeting with Epic Games to implement an update to the Epic Online Services.

While the bug is being addressed, it’s clear that Palworld’s success has not been hindered, with players continuing to engage with the game’s unique features and gameplay.
