Australia will face Uzbekistan in the final Group B match of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ on Tuesday, 23 January at 10:30pm AEDT. This encounter marks the fifth time the two nations have met, with the last match taking place in 2019, where Australia secured a dramatic penalty shootout win in the Round of 16.

Graham Arnold’s side kicked off its campaign with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over India on Matchday 1, followed by a tough 1-0 triumph against Syria. The team will now aim to consolidate top spot against Uzbekistan, who currently hold the second position with four points.

The match will take place at Al Janoub Stadium, where Australia played all three group matches during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. A win for Australia would mark the first time the team has won all three group stage games at the tournament.

All of Australia’s Group B matches kick off at 10:30pm AEDT and will be broadcast live and free on Australia’s ‘Home of Football,’ Network 10, as well as streamed live via both 10 Play and Paramount+.
