Cartoon Network Show Creator Arrested on Child Pornography Charges

Cartoon Network show creator Kyle Adam Carrozza has been arrested on child pornography possession charges by the Burbank Police Department. Carrozza, known for the series Mighty Magiswords, was booked last month on two counts of child pornography possession.

The arrest took place at an apartment complex in Burbank, California, on Thursday, June 20, at 7:30 am. This arrest was a result of an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigation and was reported in the Burbank Police Department’s daily arrest log.

Mighty Magiswords, which debuted on Cartoon Network’s CN Anything app in 2015, was praised for its innovative approach to storytelling for young audiences. The show was later developed into a linear TV series, running for two seasons and over 90 episodes.

Carrozza’s professional background includes work on various popular animated series such as The Fairly OddParents, Animaniacs, The Snoopy Show, and Spongebob Squarepants. He has also created original content like MooBeard the Cow Pirate for Nickelodeon’s Random! Cartoons.

Carrozza faces charges under California penal code 311.11(a) for possession of child pornography and an enhanced 311.11(c) charge for having a significant amount of such material. If convicted, he could face up to one year in county jail or up to five years in state prison and may be required to register as a sex offender.

It is important to note that the charges against Carrozza do not pertain to certain forms of media like drawings, figurines, statues, or MPAA-rated films. The case continues to develop as legal proceedings move forward.
