A security guard at a shopping mall in Dezhou, China, became a hero when he saved a mother and daughter who were swept away by strong winds during a powerful storm on June 30, 2024. The incident, captured by local media, showed the mother and daughter being carried several feet in the air by the intense winds.

Wang Chuanfeng, a 59-year-old security guard at a nearby mall, sprang into action and rescued the imperiled pair. In recognition of his bravery, the shopping mall management awarded Wang a 500 Chinese yuan reward and an honorary certificate. Video footage of the event depicted Wang rushing to the duo’s aid and safely escorting them back inside the mall.

Although Wang did not provide an interview to the media, his actions were widely praised by the public as remarkable. His quick thinking and courage saved the lives of the mother and daughter, highlighting the importance of security personnel in times of crisis.
