Fans from Texas Clean Vandalized Star of Jenni Rivera on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame

After the star of Jenni Rivera on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame was vandalized, fans from Texas took matters into their own hands to clean up the damage. The late Jenni Rivera, known as ‘La Diva de La Banda,’ was posthumously honored with a star on the Walk of Fame in front of Capitol Records on June 27.

Jacquelin Marin Rivera, also known as Jacqie, revealed on her Instagram account that her mother’s star had been defaced with black paint. Fans who visited the star in Hollywood reported the vandalism to Jacqie, prompting them to take action and clean the star themselves.

In a video shared by Jacqie, an adult male can be seen scrubbing the star on his knees. The fans, who had traveled from Dallas, Texas, documented their efforts to clean the star and shared photos and videos with Jacqie.

While the fans were cleaning the star, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce also took steps to professionally restore the damaged star. The Chamber assured that they were sending a Terrazzo star maker to repair the defaced star and emphasized that the act of vandalism was unacceptable.

Jenni Rivera, along with members of her team, tragically lost their lives in a plane crash in 2012 after departing from Monterrey, Mexico. The singer, who was 43 at the time of her passing, was a beloved figure in the music industry, winning numerous awards for her contributions to regional Mexican music.
