Columbus Blue Jackets Make Roster Moves

The Columbus Blue Jackets have made significant roster moves, as announced by President and General Manager Don Waddell. Qualifying offers have been extended to five restricted free agents, including Jake Christiansen, Jet Greaves, Kent Johnson, Kirill Marchenko, and Cole Sillinger. However, Tyler Angle, Jake Bean, Marcus Bjork, and Alex Nylander did not receive qualifying offers and will become unrestricted free agents on July 1.

In addition to these moves, defenseman Adam Boqvist has been placed on unconditional waivers. If Boqvist clears waivers, the team plans to buy out the final year of his contract. Boqvist, a native of Falun, Sweden, has had a notable career with 56 points in 133 games with Columbus since being acquired in a trade from the Chicago Blackhawks in 2021.

These roster adjustments come as the Blue Jackets gear up for the upcoming season. Fans can stay updated on the team’s progress and future plans by following the latest news and updates on the Columbus Blue Jackets website.
