The University of Alabama’s women’s basketball team faced a tough 77-59 loss against the Arkansas Razorbacks in a game held at Coleman Coliseum. The Crimson Tide, with a 15-4 overall record and a 2-2 standing in the Southeastern Conference, couldn’t maintain their lead against the Razorbacks, who are now 14-5 overall and 2-2 in SEC play.
Despite a strong start and holding the lead at halftime, Alabama couldn’t sustain their advantage as Arkansas made a strong comeback in the third quarter, outscoring the Crimson Tide 24-15. Sarah Ashlee Barker led Alabama with 18 points, followed by Jessica Timmons with 13 points. Aaliyah Nye also made a notable contribution, securing a season-high seven rebounds for the team. However, the efforts weren’t enough to overcome the Razorbacks’ strong performance.
Samara Spencer shone for the Razorbacks, delivering an impressive 31 points and leading the team to victory. Additionally, three Razorbacks secured at least 10 rebounds, showcasing their dominance on the court.
