Rapper Foolio, also known as Charles Jones, tragically lost his life in a fatal shooting incident in Tampa. The Jacksonville rapper was celebrating his birthday when the unfortunate event occurred. Tampa police are actively investigating the shooting and working to identify those involved.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting at a hotel in uptown Tampa in the early hours of the morning. Upon arrival, they discovered two vehicles had been shot at in the parking lot. Charles Jones was pronounced dead at the scene, while three other victims are currently in stable condition and receiving medical treatment.

Charles Jones, who had a significant following on social media platforms like Instagram, had shared updates about his birthday celebration on his Instagram story. He had invited his followers to a pool party and later mentioned being asked to leave an Airbnb location by the police, after which he moved to a Holiday Inn where the tragic incident took place.

In a statement released by his lawyer Lewis Fusco, it was revealed that Jones was ambushed in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn. Just hours before the shooting, Jones had expressed gratitude to everyone who attended his birthday celebration, indicating it had been the ‘best birthday ever.’

Prior to the shooting, Jones had hinted at facing dangers, mentioning surviving ‘MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS ON MY LIFE’ when promoting his latest album ‘Resurrection.’ With a significant following on platforms like Spotify, where he had close to 1 million monthly listeners, Jones had been actively involved in the music industry.
