Rap sensation Drake has made headlines once again, this time for placing a massive $500,000 bet on the Edmonton Oilers to win the Stanley Cup. The Stanley Cup finals are set to begin with the Oilers facing off against the Panthers in game 1 on Saturday.
Drake took to Instagram to share a screenshot of his bet with gambling website Stake, accompanied by the caption ‘Oilers are self-explanatory.’ In addition to his bet on the Oilers, Drake also placed a wager on the Dallas Mavericks to clinch the NBA title.
If both of Drake’s bets prove successful, he stands to win a whopping $2.4 million. Known for his high-stakes gambling, Drake has previously experienced both wins and losses in the world of sports betting.
Earlier this year, Drake lost a $700,000 bet on a UFC match but quickly bounced back by pocketing nearly $1.2 million after betting on the Kansas City Chiefs to win the Super Bowl.
