Her parents, Rob and Nicole, shared that Mamie was later transferred to a Vancouver hospital for further treatment, with an expected stay of a month or more. While her recovery was initially uncertain, there have been positive signs of improvement despite the severity of her injuries.

An update on the family’s GoFundMe page, which has garnered over 11,000 CAD in donations, revealed that Mamie had fallen from a balcony walkway after being escorted out of a secure unit at the hospital. She suffered life-threatening injuries, underwent extensive surgeries, and is currently on life support, leaving her loved ones in a state of shock and devastation.

Following this tragic event, Mamie’s co-stars from ‘When Calls the Heart,’ Erin Krakow and Johannah Newmarch, have taken to social media to rally support for her. Krakow encouraged her followers on Instagram to contribute to the fundraising efforts, emphasizing the importance of solidarity during this challenging time.

Newmarch, who portrays Mamie’s on-screen mother in the series, also expressed her heartfelt support for the family, highlighting the need for collective assistance in navigating through the crisis.
