AT&T Outage: SOS Mode on Phones Explained
If you’re an AT&T user and found your phone in SOS mode recently, you’re not alone. The network experienced outages affecting both iPhone and Android users in parts of the U.S.
Over a thousand AT&T users reported service issues within the last 24 hours, with more than 1,130 users noting problems as of 7 am ET. The majority reported issues on their mobile phones (58 percent), while others faced troubles with their landline internet (14 percent).
Users in Virginia and North Carolina were particularly impacted by the recent outages, as confirmed by an AT&T spokesperson. The company swiftly worked to restore service in coastal areas following an equipment failure.
Some users had already reported signal and internet problems a few days prior, which escalated significantly. Many individuals took to social media platforms to express frustration or seek assistance from AT&T.
AT&T’s Help account has been actively responding to user queries and complaints, requesting ZIP codes or direct messages for further assistance.
