Ninja Theory Receives Green Light for Next Project from Xbox

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II developer Ninja Theory has reportedly received the green light from Xbox for their next project, with assurances that the studio will not be closing down. This news comes amidst concerns from fans following the recent closures of Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks.

Despite the lack of promotion for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II leading up to its launch, Xbox’s Aaron Greenberg has reassured fans of an upcoming global media campaign for the game. Additionally, a report from Windows Central indicates that Ninja Theory is actively working on two new projects apart from Hellblade 2.

One of these projects is Project Mara, described as a representation of mental terror in a real-world setting. The second project, which has been approved by Microsoft, remains undisclosed. Windows Central’s sources affirm that Microsoft has no intentions of shutting down the studio in the near future.

Following Xbox’s layoffs earlier this year and the closures of several studios, including Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks, Microsoft’s commitment to Ninja Theory’s future is a positive sign for the studio and its fans.

In a message to fans ahead of the release of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Ninja Theory studio head Dom Matthews expressed gratitude and emphasized the dedication of the team to creating engaging and immersive gaming experiences.
