SteelSeries Launches Arctis Nova 5 Gaming Headset with Game-Specific Audio Presets

If you’re tired of constantly adjusting audio profiles on your gaming headset, SteelSeries has a solution for you. The new Arctis Nova 5 headset, priced at $129.99, comes with a dedicated companion app featuring over 100 game-specific audio presets for popular titles like Fortnite, Apex Legends, and Minecraft. These presets have been customized by audio engineers to enhance the gaming experience.

Described as an ‘affordable luxury’ by SteelSeries, the Arctis Nova 5 offers the convenience of changing audio presets in real time without interrupting your gaming session. It also provides cross-platform support for Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, PC, Meta Quest, and mobile devices that support the included USB-C dongle.

To utilize the companion app’s audio presets, users need to connect their mobile device to the headset via Bluetooth. The headset features a ‘Quick Switch Wireless’ button that allows users to seamlessly switch between 2.4GHz and Bluetooth 5.3 for audio output, enabling them to take calls via Bluetooth while maintaining a 2.4GHz connection for in-game audio.

The Arctis Nova 5 boasts a battery life of up to 60 hours per charge, with USB-C fast charging providing six hours of gameplay on just a 15-minute charge. Equipped with neodymium magnetic drivers and a new high-bandwidth microphone chipset supporting 32kHz / 16-bit audio, the headset ensures clear in-game communications.

Featuring a design similar to previous Arctis models, the microphone on the Arctis Nova 5 retracts into the earcup when not in use, seamlessly blending into the overall aesthetic of the headset.
