McDonald’s is set to introduce a heartwarming new treat that pays homage to grandmas everywhere. The fast-food giant is launching the limited-edition Grandma McFlurry, available starting May 21 for a limited time.

The Grandma McFlurry is a sweet delight that encapsulates the essence of grandma’s love. It features a delectable syrup and crunchy candy pieces blended with creamy vanilla soft serve. This nostalgic treat is designed to evoke cherished memories shared with grandmas, making it the perfect indulgence to enjoy with your beloved grandma or the special grandma-figure in your life.

Tariq Hassan, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at McDonald’s, expressed the sentiment behind the new McFlurry, stating, “Grandmas hold a special place in our hearts and are currently influencing various aspects of culture. With the Grandma McFlurry, we aim to offer our fans a taste of nostalgia while honoring the significant role grandmas play in our lives.”

To complement the launch of the Grandma McFlurry, McDonald’s is teaming up with talented artists to recreate beloved songs with a fresh twist. Singer-songwriter Remi Wolf will cover the timeless hit “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You),” set to be released on all music platforms on May 21. Additionally, Latin music sensation Jay Wheeler will put his spin on the iconic song “Piel Canela.”

To kick off the festivities, McDonald’s will unveil Grandma’s McFlurry Mobile, a unique take on the traditional ice cream truck. This mobile unit will offer a sneak peek of the new McFlurry before its official release in restaurants. The McFlurry Mobile will tour New York City on May 17 and May 18, making stops at senior centers and assisted living homes to foster connections between grandparents and their families.
