Microsoft has announced an exciting update for Xbox Cloud Gaming enthusiasts – the introduction of mouse and keyboard support in 26 games. This new feature is now available to all users as a beta version, allowing players to enjoy their favorite Xbox games using a mouse and keyboard through the browser version of Xbox Cloud Gaming.
The addition of mouse and keyboard support was initially previewed by Microsoft in March and is now officially rolling out. Gamers can access this feature on Edge or Chrome by visiting xbox.com/play. A total of 26 games will support this feature at the launch of the beta, including popular titles like Fortnite, Sea of Thieves, and Halo Infinite.
Furthermore, Microsoft is planning to enable PC users to utilize the Xbox app later this month to select games that are compatible with mouse and keyboard input in the cloud gaming section. This enhancement aims to provide a seamless gaming experience, allowing players to effortlessly switch between using a mouse and keyboard or a controller during gameplay.
Testing the mouse and keyboard support earlier this year revealed a user-friendly experience, akin to playing on a PC or Xbox that supports mouse and keyboard input. This feature is particularly beneficial for on-the-go gaming, eliminating the need to carry an Xbox controller to access certain games.
