Despite his commitment to the company, which included showering at the factory and sleeping in his car to meet production goals, he was ultimately fired. Murillo, a production supervisor, shared his story on LinkedIn, revealing that he had resorted to sleeping in his car at the factory parking lot and preparing microwave meals in an effort to contribute more to Tesla’s production targets. However, on April 15, he discovered that his company account had been deactivated, and he was informed that his position had been eliminated due to a company-wide restructuring.

Upon arriving at the Fremont factory to address the issue, Murillo was turned away by security and informed of his layoff. The news left him in disbelief, considering his dedication to Tesla since 2019.
