OnePlus has recently introduced a range of quality-of-life features in a new update for its OnePlus 10T smartphone. This update follows similar enhancements made to the OnePlus 9RT and OnePlus Nord 3 models, further enhancing the user experience.
The latest update, identifiable by the build numbers IN: CPH2413_14.0.0.700(EX01) for India and EU/GLO: CPH2415_14.0.0.701(EX01) for the EU/Global region, brings several notable improvements to the device.
One key feature included in this update, OxygenOS 14.0.0.700/14.0.0.701, is the introduction of a ‘Partial screenshot’ option through the Smart Sidebar. Additionally, users can now create collages without frames in the Photos app, providing more flexibility in image editing.
Another significant enhancement is the ability to adjust the volume for individual apps, allowing users to manage audio levels independently. Moreover, a new shortcut for activating the flashlight has been added – simply press and hold the volume down button when the screen is off.
Users can now unlock their devices using fingerprint recognition without waking the screen, offering a more seamless experience. The update also introduces a ‘Fuzzy search’ feature, enabling users to initiate searches by typing the first letter of an app’s name in the taskbar.
Furthermore, the update includes the April 2024 Android security patch, along with general improvements in device stability and performance. While the update is currently being rolled out to a limited number of devices, a broader release is expected soon.
If users have not received the OTA update notification, they can manually check for updates by navigating to Settings > About Device > OxygenOS > Check for Update.
This latest update underscores OnePlus’ commitment to enhancing user experience and delivering innovative features to its smartphone lineup.
