Tower Porchfest, a beloved community celebration in Tower District, is gearing up for its fourth year of bringing together local musicians and artists for a day of music, art, and camaraderie.
The event, organized by Creative Fresno and the Tower Porchfest Organizing Committee, is a unique experience that turns the neighborhood into a vibrant stage for performers, uniting residents and visitors in a celebration of local talent.
Set to take place on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tower Porchfest will span a 3-mile radius across the Tower District neighborhoods, featuring performances on front porches from avenues such as Fruit to Blackstone and Belmont to Shields.
Local residents generously offer their front porches as venues for the event, showcasing a diverse lineup of musicians and artists. Performers like Call Me James, The Smooth Professor, Brother Luke & The Comrades, and Art Gonzales & The Majestics will entertain the crowds with a variety of music genres including house, R&B, folk, rock, jazz, ska, and Latin.
In addition to the musical performances, attendees can enjoy a range of food offerings from participating porches and local restaurants. From complimentary donuts and breakfast burritos to Hawaiian shaved ice, summertime pies, and various savory treats, there will be something for every palate.
To ensure easy access to the event, relaxed parking will be available at Fresno City College, with an emphasis on walking, biking, and trolley transportation to minimize car traffic in the area. Volunteers are also sought to assist during the event, helping with merchandise distribution and providing information to attendees.
Those interested in supporting Tower Porchfest can make donations online, contributing to the success of this community-driven event. Your donation will help sustain the event and ensure its continuation for years to come.
