St. Vincent to Release New Single ‘Broken Man’ from Album ‘All Born Screaming’

St. Vincent is set to release a new single titled ‘Broken Man’ from her upcoming album ‘All Born Screaming’. The track will premiere on Jack Saunders’ Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1 tonight at 6:30 pm.

St. Vincent, also known as Annie Clark, is a respected alternative songwriter who will be sharing ‘Big Time Nothing’, the third single from her self-produced seventh studio album. Prior to this release, she unveiled ‘Flea’ and ‘Broken Man’.

‘All Born Screaming’ is a project that saw St. Vincent collaborating with a stellar lineup of artists including Rachel Eckroth, Josh Freese, Dave Grohl, Mark Guiliana, Cate Le Bon, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Stella Mogzawa, and David Ralicke. The album was recorded at various studios, including her own Compound Fracture studio in LA, Steve Albini’s Electrical Audio in Chicago, and New York’s Electric Lady Studios.

Describing the album, Clark mentioned, ‘I needed to go deeper in finding my own sonic vocabulary. I like to think of [the record] as post-plague pop, it’s a lot about heaven and hell — the metaphorical kinds. Which is appropriate, because sitting alone in a studio for that many hours I would say is a version of hell.’

‘All Born Screaming’ is scheduled for release on Friday, 26 April through Total Pleasure Records and is currently available for preorder.

St. Vincent’s latest work promises to offer a unique blend of her musical style and thematic exploration. Fans of her previous albums can anticipate a fresh perspective and sound in ‘All Born Screaming’.
