Following the widespread showers and storms in the Northern part of the state, the coverage is anticipated to expand over Central Texas later in the day. Accumulations of 2 to 3 inches of rain have already been recorded, with an additional one to two inches expected.
As a result of thunderstorms passing through the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex on Saturday morning, several flights at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and the Dallas Love Field Airport (DAL) were impacted. Ground stops were issued by DFW and DAL officials from 9:54 am to 11:15 am and from 9:43 am to 11:30 am, respectively.
