Arrowhead Game Studios has made a decision that might disappoint some fans of Helldivers 2. The popular third-person online shooter will not be receiving a transmog feature in the future. Despite ongoing updates to the game, the addition of a transmogrify system has been ruled out.
In Helldivers 2, players have the opportunity to collect various armor sets, helmets, and capes to personalize their Helldiver character. However, the inability to equip gear based solely on aesthetics without considering stats and passives has left some players wanting more customization options. A transmog feature would have allowed players to alter the appearance of their loadout, similar to popular games like World of Warcraft and Destiny 2.
According to Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt, the studio has no plans to introduce transmogs to Helldivers 2. Pilestedt explained that the decision was based on the belief that equipment in the game looks different due to its unique effects, and swapping items solely for appearance would not align with the game’s design philosophy.
While transmogs may not be on the horizon, Arrowhead has assured players that Helldivers 2 will continue to receive free post-launch story updates. Although specific details are currently scarce, the studio has promised additional content and story events through planned free updates.
Furthermore, a recent patch for Helldivers 2 has addressed issues with the CE-27 Ground Breaker armor, enhancing the gameplay experience for players. As the game evolves, fans can look forward to more updates and improvements in the future.
Stay tuned for the latest news and updates on Helldivers 2 as Arrowhead Game Studios continues to expand the game’s universe and provide an engaging experience for players.
