General Hospital’s Carly Mourns the Loss of Her Mother Bobbie

On Monday, January 2, General Hospital’s Carly was rocked to the core when she received news from Amsterdam that her mother Bobbie had died. Standing in her kitchen, she hung up the phone and relayed to Drew what the embassy had told her. Her grief then turned into guilt as she wondered if there had been anything she could have done differently, something that would have kept her mother with them.

After Drew reminded her that Bobbie had died peacefully in her sleep, Carly thought back to the last time she and Donna had talked to her, on Christmas Eve. If only she had known it was going to be the last time, she would have said so much more…

Carly’s feelings were not only real to life when it comes to losing someone close to us, her portrayer, Laura Wright, was feeling the grief as well, as the General Hospital family and fans around the world are still mourning the loss of Bobbie’s portrayer Jacklyn Zeman, who passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, after a short battle with cancer.

Wright’s scenes have been talked about on social media ever since, so much so that the actress is trending, and her longtime boyfriend and former castmate Wes Ramsey (ex-Peter) couldn’t be more proud.

“My woman is rending,” Ramsey cheered, leaving fans trailing behind him with their props for Wright as well.

“I’m overwhelmed by all of your post about today’s episode,” Wright expressed on Wednesday, January 3. “I’m so grateful to have worked with Jacklyn Zeman and it was my honor to tell this part of our story.” She closed out her post by giving thanks to her co-star Cameron Mathison (Drew) for all of his support.
