Chipotle, the popular fast-casual restaurant chain, is teeing off a green initiative as it partners with professional golfer Max Homa. The collaboration comes just in time for the 2024 Masters tournament in Augusta, Georgia, where Chipotle plans to make its presence felt on and off the golf course.
As part of the partnership, Chipotle has introduced a limited-edition green foil for wrapping in-restaurant and digital burrito orders at its Augusta location. This special initiative is aimed at celebrating golf’s most anticipated week of the year, creating a unique experience for customers while also showing support for the game.
In addition to the green foil launch, the chain has announced its sponsorship of pro golfer Max Homa, a self-proclaimed Chipotle superfan and a six-time tour winner. Homa will prominently feature the Chipotle logo on his golf bag throughout 2024 and will collaborate with the brand on various activations in the coming months.
The connection between Homa and Chipotle dates back to 2013 when Homa expressed his love for the brand in a tweet, indicating his affinity for Chipotle’s offerings. Chipotle’s Chief Brand Officer, Chris Brandt, highlighted the brand’s popularity among pro golfers, noting that it has become a go-to meal for many players during tournament weeks.
Chipotle’s partnership with Homa is part of its Real Food for Real Athletes platform, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to providing proper nutrition through real food and real ingredients to support athletes across all levels.
To promote the collaboration, the brand has shared social media posts featuring Homa preparing his own green-wrapped burrito, engaging fans and followers in the excitement surrounding the partnership.
