Introducing The Heuer 7753SN-Inspired TAG Heuer Carrera Glassbox ‘Panda’ (With A Steel Bracelet!)

Introducing The Heuer 7753SN-Inspired TAG Heuer Carrera Glassbox ‘Panda’ (With A Steel Bracelet!)

When TAG Heuer announced the Carrera Glassbox last year, it was evident that the Carrera line had undergone a transformation, paving the way for future iterations. Following the introduction of the revamped Skipper with its iconic color combination post-W&W 2023, and the unveiling of the DATO with its left-side date aperture at LVMH Watch Week this year, the anticipation for more developments was high. Now, the new ‘panda’ dial TAG Heuer Carrera Glassbox has been revealed, drawing inspiration from the legendary Heuer 7753 SN.

Featuring a three-register format and a borderless small-seconds display at six o’clock with an integrated date, this new watch inherits the contrast and legibility of last year’s black dial, reverse-panda iteration of the Carrera. The vintage inspiration ensures utmost legibility, skillfully balancing the vintage and the modern. The sloped internal tachymeter scale, now in a contrasting black, complements the silver dial and harmonizes with the black azuré sub-registers at three and nine o’clock. Red accents for the sub-hands and minute track further enhance the racetrack aesthetic.

Notably, this vintage-inspired timepiece comes with a steel bracelet, a first in the new Glassbox format, adding a distinct look to the silver dial chrono. Priced at CHF 6,500, it is set to be available this month.

With its panda dial, TAG Heuer continues to leverage its legacy and archives in a significant way, setting this release apart. The brand’s adept utilization of its back catalog, evident in recent releases such as the Skipper and various Dato models in the Glassbox format, underscores TAG Heuer’s commitment to honoring its heritage while embracing innovation.
