Gypsy Rose Blanchard, known for being a victim of Munchausen by proxy, is embarking on a new journey in her life. The 32-year-old is preparing to undergo rhinoplasty to change the shape and appearance of her nose. In an exclusive statement to PEOPLE, she expressed her anticipation for the surgery and invited everyone to watch her transformation on the upcoming show ‘Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up’ this summer.
According to her close friend Nadiya Vizier, the procedure is something that Blanchard has desired for some time. Vizier mentioned that Blanchard is a bit nervous but ultimately happy that the change she has been wanting will soon become a reality. The main goal for Blanchard is to achieve a more feminine-looking nose.
Blanchard’s friend emphasized that it is her prerogative to make this change and urged people to allow her the freedom to live and learn from her experiences. The news of the upcoming procedure comes in the wake of Blanchard’s separation from her husband, Ryan Anderson. Following the split, Blanchard has been seen spending time with her ex-fiancé Ken Urker, with whom she got matching tattoos.
In her 2024 Lifetime docuseries ‘The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard,’ she disclosed that she had maintained contact with Urker in the weeks leading up to her 2022 wedding with Anderson and admitted to still having feelings for him. Despite a phone conversation between Anderson and Blanchard where she revealed a dream about leaving Anderson for Urker, it seems the couple was able to move past the issue at the time.
