The Kansas City Chiefs are showing their support for basketball star Caitlin Clark during March Madness. The Super Bowl champions took to Instagram on April 5 to share a throwback photo of the 22-year-old athlete, dressed in Chiefs gear, with a heartfelt message of encouragement. The caption read, ‘You cheered for us. Now it’s our turn! All of Chiefs Kingdom is rooting you on tonight, @caitlinclark22 🏀.’

Clark, a standout player for the University of Iowa, expressed her gratitude in the comments section with a series of heart-on-fire emojis. The NCAA women’s basketball March Madness tournament is in full swing, with the Final Four games taking place on April 5. Clark and the Hawkeyes were set to face off against the University of Connecticut Huskies at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Throughout her journey, Clark has been making headlines, recently breaking the all-time scoring record in NCAA Division I basketball. Surpassing the late Louisiana State University (LSU) basketball player “Pistol” Pete Maravich, Clark achieved the feat on March 3, with a collegiate scoring record of 3,685 points, surpassing Maravich’s previous record of 3,667 points.

Reflecting on her remarkable achievement, Clark told ESPN, ‘Honestly, if you would have told me that before my college career started, I would’ve laughed in your face and been like, ‘No, you’re insane.”

Clark’s outstanding performance and record-breaking success have solidified her as a rising star in the world of basketball, garnering widespread support and admiration from fans and fellow athletes alike.
