Intel’s Next-Gen Arrow Lake and Raptor Lake-H Refresh Mobility CPUs to be Branded as Core Ultra 200 and Core 200H Series
Intel’s next-gen Arrow Lake and Raptor Lake-H Refresh mobility CPUs are set to be branded under the Core Ultra 200 and Core 200H series, according to reliable leaker, Golden Pig Upgrade. This marks the third iteration of the Raptor Lake lineup for laptops and the second refresh it has undergone.
Arrow Lake CPUs will fall under the Core Ultra 200 series, encompassing both H and U SKUs, with chip names like Core Ultra 9 2XXH and Core Ultra 7 2XXU. On the other hand, the Raptor Lake-H Refresh will receive the Core 200H branding for Non-Ultra SKUs. No mention is made of the Raptor Lake-U Refresh series, with Intel likely reserving some Meteor Lake SKUs for the entry-level segment, while the Arrow Lake CPUs cater to the premium market.
The decision to refresh Raptor Lake-H for a second time is primarily driven by pricing considerations. The Raptor Lake-H chips are expected to offer better value, if not performance positioning, in the high-end gaming category, while Arrow Lake-H and Arrow Lake-HX will be utilized in more expensive designs, coupled with the latest available hardware.
Arrow Lake mobility CPUs are anticipated to come in three variations – HX, H, and U. The Arrow Lake-H CPUs have already been observed in configurations featuring 6 Lion Cove P-Cores and 8 Skymont E-Cores. While the iGPU will be based on the Xe-LPG ‘Alchemist’ GPU architecture, certain SKUs will adopt the newer and refined Alchemist+ ‘Xe-LPG+’ architecture. The high-end Arrow Lake-HX CPUs will utilize the same dies as the desktop SKUs, recently spotted with up to 8 P-Cores and 16 E-Cores. Meanwhile, the Raptor Lake-H Refresh ‘Core 200H’ CPUs are expected to feature up to 6 P-Cores based on the Raptor Cove and 8 E-Cores based on the Gracemont core architecture.
The Intel Arrow Lake ‘Core Ultra 200’ and Raptor Lake-H Refresh ‘Core 200H’ mobility CPUs are projected to be available by the end of this year or early 2025. The Intel Core Ultra 200 lineup is also expected to include the Lunar Lake-MX CPUs, although the official branding for those is yet to be confirmed. AMD’s lineup will also consist of a mix of older architectures alongside the newer Strix Point chips.
