Diablo IV Season 4 PTR Coming Soon: What Players Need to Know

Exciting news for all Diablo IV fans! The first Public Test Realm (PTR) for Diablo IV is on the horizon, offering players the chance to test upcoming changes and features for Season 4. The PTR will be available from April 2 through April 9 for players with a PC Battle.net account.

The purpose of the PTR is to test updates and features alongside players before the launch of Season 4. Feedback from the PTR will be used to make adjustments to Season 4 before it goes live for everyone. Here’s an overview of what players need to know about the upcoming changes and features.

Itemization

The itemization updates for Diablo IV are guided by three pillars: quality over quantity, the best items having a journey of power and improvement, and making items feel satisfying and exciting to use. Some of the key changes include a reduced number of affixes, a smaller pool of more potent affixes, and more relevant affixes such as Resource per Second, Resource on Kill, Lucky Hit, and Life per Hit.

Other updates include legendary items dropped from enemy level 95+ always being 925 item power, a new crafting system called Tempering, and much more. The aim is to make itemization more streamlined, impactful, and engaging for players.

Class Updates and Full Patch Notes

For a full list of what’s new or adjusted for Classes, players can check out the Class Update patch notes. Some of the highlights include reduced item drop rates, new affixes and positioning of affixes, and a revamped crafting system. These updates are designed to enhance the overall gameplay experience and provide players with more meaningful choices and progression paths.

How to Provide Feedback

Players are encouraged to provide feedback on the PTR to help shape the upcoming Season 4. By sharing their thoughts and experiences, players can contribute to the ongoing development of Diablo IV and ensure that the game meets the expectations of the community.

How to Install the PTR

For players interested in participating in the PTR, instructions on how to install the PTR will be provided closer to the start date. This will allow players to easily access the testing environment and be part of the process of refining and improving the game.

With the PTR for Diablo IV Season 4 approaching, players can look forward to getting an early look at the upcoming changes and features. The opportunity to provide feedback and help shape the future of the game is a valuable experience for all Diablo IV enthusiasts.
