Kim Kardashian is facing a lawsuit for allegedly falsely claiming that her office furniture was designed by minimalist artist Donald Judd. The lawsuit, filed by the nonprofit foundation representing Judd’s legacy, also named Clements Design, the company that produced the tables and chairs resembling Judd’s designs.
In a video tour of her Skkn by Kim company offices, Kardashian praised the minimalist design of her furniture, specifically highlighting the ‘amazing’ Donald Judd tables. However, the foundation representing Judd’s legacy disputes these claims, stating that consumers may be misled into believing a connection between Kardashian and the Donald Judd brand.
The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, accuses Kardashian and Clements Design of trademark and copyright infringement. The foundation emphasized that the use of Donald Judd furniture for marketing and promotional purposes is strictly prohibited.
