Shahs of Sunset alum, Mike Shouhed, is facing a lawsuit from his former fiancée, Paulina Ben-Cohen, over an alleged 2022 domestic violence incident. The court document, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, details the March 27, 2022, incident at Ben-Cohen’s Los Angeles area home, where she claims she was ‘viciously, brutally, and repeatedly assaulted and battered’ by Shouhed.

The complaint alleges that after putting her children to bed, Ben-Cohen started to smoke a tobacco-free hookah, a common practice in her culture, when Shouhed began an argument and verbally abused her. Following the outburst, Ben-Cohen asked Shouhed to leave the home, but he allegedly refused. She then began packing his belongings, and during this, Shouhed allegedly forcefully grabbed her hair and shoulder, violently threw her to the ground, struck her in the face, and attempted to suffocate her.

Ben-Cohen also claimed that Shouhed threatened to kill her and told her he had a hitman who would put her away. The altercation continued in the children’s playroom, where Ben-Cohen attempted to call 911. The complaint states that after Shouhed initiated the attacks, the incident finally came to an end.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages and punitive damages for the alleged assault and battery, gender violence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The incident is documented in screenshots of security footage filed with the complaint.
