Auburn University’s junior gymnast, Sophia Groth, has been recognized for her outstanding community service by being named to the SEC Community Service Team. The announcement was made by the league on Friday, celebrating Groth’s dedication to serving the Auburn community.
Hailing from West Des Moines, Iowa, Groth has been an active member of the Auburn community, engaging in various service activities since joining the team. She has been actively involved in the local school system, where she has volunteered to read at multiple elementary schools and preschools, making a positive impact on young minds in the Auburn area.
Additionally, Groth has contributed to the Leader Luncheon at Pick Elementary, where she has not only participated but also inspired acts of leadership among children while sharing meals with them. Her commitment to promoting active lifestyles has been evident through gymnastics demonstrations conducted by her and her team, emphasizing the importance of staying physically active.
