7 Days to Die Version 1.0 Set to Launch After More Than a Decade in Early Access

After more than a decade in Early Access, the popular open-world zombie game, 7 Days to Die, is finally set to launch its Version 1.0 update on July 25. Developed by The Fun Pimps, the game initially entered Early Access in 2013 following a successful Kickstarter campaign. The long-awaited Version 1.0 will bring a host of new features, optimizations, and improvements to the game, marking a significant milestone for the survival horror genre.

The upcoming update will introduce visual enhancements, a new gore system, revamped crafting mechanics, and an overhaul of the armor system, among other additions. The release of 7 Days to Die Version 1.0 will also coincide with a price increase across all platforms. Players who currently own the game on PS4 or Xbox One will be required to repurchase it for PS5 or Xbox Series X|S due to technical disparities between the older and newer console hardware.

Despite the impending launch of Version 1.0, The Fun Pimps has reassured fans that ongoing development will continue post-release, with plans to further expand and enhance the game in the years ahead. Studio co-founder Richard Huenink expressed gratitude towards the dedicated community that has supported the game over the years, emphasizing the team’s commitment to evolving the franchise with new content and features.

As the gaming industry eagerly anticipates the arrival of 7 Days to Die Version 1.0, it is clear that the game’s evolution reflects a testament to the enduring passion and dedication of both developers and players alike. Stay tuned for more updates as the release date approaches!
